When I was quite young I had the opportunity to go abseiling but when I got to the top I bottled it! The second time I had a chance I went for it! And I loved it!
Years of being in pain and then finally being in a wheelchair and pretty much housebound left me feeling like something like this would be impossible!
But after ditching my shoes and then the wheelchair and finally freeing up my tight, restrictive and VERY painful fascia, I now feel as though I’m in a good enough place physically to be able to take on some new challenges 🥳
So when the opportunity to do an abseil came up I couldn’t resist but to sign up!
Now I just need to try and raise £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support so that I can do the abseil! 🙏🙏🙏
Lots of people I know have been touched by cancer, whether it be themselves or a friend 🥲
I wouldn’t support a charity “looking” for a cure for cancer as we all know that this money is just being wasted when the cures have already been patented or banned!
But MacMillan are known for supporting those with a diagnosis and also supporting their families 🥰
I am also using this as a practice run for hopefully doing a sponsored walk up Snowdon in Wales next summer for The Intractable Charity 🤞 I would prefer to try and do it barefoot 🤪 but if the terrain is to hard on my feet then I might have to give in and try a pair of these! 🤩https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1GXBarrrTN/?mibextid=wwXIf
